Blogs For a Wandering Girl Like Me

samantha-evans-3The Eclectic Rebel Blog and Travel Guide … Wow that’s a LOT of fancy words all in row. What could they actually all MEAN? The word “eclectic” is totally obvious. The richness of travel is all about the stimulating diversity & beauty of available experiences.

Travel is about doing things and going places DIFFERENT than where you are. Travel is about driving to the airport and leaving…and coming back newly discovered…or all beat to hell. Traveling fills me up and blows my mind with elective perspective shifts. Bring it.

I have an Excuse
I’m a reporter. I travel internationally, eat in and out, LOVE the brilliance of timeless architecture (especially turn of the century hotels), covet natural beauty, and take walks on the wild side. Measure twice boys…cut once. While you’re measuring, please sign up for our feed. We’re going to have some fun here.

I’ve learned what people like to do. That might mean groovy-mom taking the kids to the Wisconsin Dells, going for a night with the girls,” kicking high heels Hyde Park hometown Chicago or batting 1000 baby. (Follow the last link and you’ll know where this particular Sam grew up :) )

Blog and Travel Guide
At this moment you’re reading a blog which will be a guide of other blogs me and a couple of my friends read and like. When we travel, like most of our generation, the web is ALL about research. We’ll turn YOU on to what we do, where we go, and what we do while we’re there. (Follow the links on this page and you’ll get a sense of my personal tastes.

Being a blogger, I have a predilection to reading other bloggers-on account of “real” information I can find from artsyreal” people dishing real beef. SO this blog will often be about other blogs, a series of cyber social recommendations you will like…I promise.

These blog recommendations, over time, will become my own personal freaky “directory” of blogs…for when ya just have to get away. You never know what blogs a girl like me likes.
