WTA Grand Tour - Travel News

The World Travel Awards are now in their 15th year and to celebrate, the awards are having their biggest ever Grand Tour, with events in different countries. Poprad, Slovakia will host the first Green Travel Awards ceremony on October 15, while the South American ceremony will take place in Rio de Janeiro on October 21. On October 28, the Middle East travel awards will be hosted in Dubai, while the tour ends in Turks and Caicos on December 12. Other events have previously taken place in Sydney, Shanghai, Durban and Orlando.

Fuel Surcharges - What’s Your View?

Deals Of The Week
Meanwhile, we’ve been trawling through the deals to see what’s available. Travelocity reports on Air Tran’s hot ticket sale, with one way flights costing just $66. Tickets have to be issued by October 14, with travel valid through January 30, 2009. Meanwhile, Orbitz has a roundup of Thanksgiving flight deals, with prices starting as low as $101. There are also some great deals on Florida vacations from Expedia, though if you’re more of a snowbird, there are great deals for you too. United has a sale on ski destinations in the US.
