Hello. I would also recommend iLingual, which is as far as I know the best talking phrasebook for iPhone. It enables you to take a picture of your own mouth and as you choose a phrase, it moves in synch as if you were really saying it. iLingual is free and already available in French, German and Arabic. Useful and fun, you should try it!

Great list of travel apps for the iPhone. Most if not all of these apps will also work on the iPod Touch, using it’s wifi capabilities. So if your cell phone carrier does not have the iPhone, consider the iPod Touch
