Six Travel Bloggers You Should Follow On Twitter

There’s a great thing on Twitter called FollowFriday, where people give props to those they have enjoyed following on Twitter. I thought I’d do that here.  Here are the people I really rate on Twitter.

Coqui2008

@coqui2008 is probably the person I talk to most on Twitter. He shares some great links about travel and runs two interesting travel blogs, one about travel gadgets and the other about Puerto Rico. Here’s a recent tweet I enjoyed.

TravelRants

Despite the intriguing name, @travelrants doesn’t always rant, at least not on Twitter, but doesn’t mince his words, which I like. Favorite recent tweet.

Soultravelers3

@soultravelers3 is tweeting this family travels around the world (they are currently in Spain). I especially like the quotes that this Twitter user shares, which are a diverse collection. Here’s an example. Follow their travels on the blog.

Wendy Perrin

@wendyperrin writes for the Conde Nast Traveler. She knows her stuff and shares some great resources. I enjoyed this tweet recently. You can also catch up with Wendy on the Perrin Post blog.

Elliott Ng

Mistyping his name gave me another reason to like @elliottng. He’s actually got a typo Twitter account to redirect people to the real one.  There’s always something new to see when you follow his tweets and you can also catch up with Elliott on the UpTake blog. He’s currently tweeting from #travelcom

Everywhere Trip

@EverywhereTrip describes himself as a ‘one man National Geographic’. It’s fun to follow his adventures and to look at the great photos on the Everything Everywhere blog.

Those are my top recommendations – care to add yours? And don’t forget to follow us on Twitter too. :)

Thanks, Soultravelers3. I think I first found you through my alter ego. I can always be sure of finding something interesting in your timeline.

That’s so nice to be included in your list. I also made a list of Travel Twitterers on the UpTake blog (just Google “Travel Twitterers” and you’ll find it and other lists, including one by Elliott.org) to find more Travel Twitterers. I encourage people to have at least 200 people that they follow, because that is what makes Twitter interesting!

  6. Sharon Hurley Hall Says:

Thanks, Elliott, I’ll do that. I already follow quite a few Travel Twitterers, but there’s always room for more. :)

    I’d add to the list:
@ClaudeBenard a Marseille-based travel 2 blogger who used to maintain http://www.lesexplorers.com, and now moved to hotelitour.com
@stephenjoyce, @philcaines from rezgo.com. In case your travel website is in need of a Saas application for tour/activities booking, those guys may help.

Thanks, Madafan. I’ll add those to my list.
