WiFi In The Air
It’s time for another round-up of travel news. Today, I’m looking at news of interest to business travelers. First off, there’s good news if you have ever been frustrated by the lack of internet access when flying. Many domestic airlines now offer WiFi access through the GoGo network. Best Business Travel
Entrepreneur magazine has a feature on the Best In Business Travel. Some frequent travelers give their travel resumes and include must have travel tools and tips on making the most of a trip. The article also names the best value hotel chain, rental car company and airline, the best frequent flier program and the best site for travel deals. Well worth a read. See if you agree with Entrepreneur’s picks.
Recession And Business Travel
Travel The World 360 looks at the Economic Recession Diet For Business Travel. More than double the number of travel execs are planning to cut travel spending this year compared with last year. Some of the belt tightening measures undertaken include making everyone fly coach; using three star rather than four star hotels and making travelers use public transport. (My old employer did that 15 years ago; maybe he was ahead of his time.) Find out more about changes in business travel in the full article.

This is excellent news for all business travelers, especially the ability to be able to carry on with their business even while flying cause there is nothing worse of these people then being stuck on a 5 or 12 hour flight and they cant access the net. Even with the recession happing yes there are less business travel but unfortunately sometimes these still have to go ahead as planned.Interesting article and I am sure it will help out a lot of those business travelers.
