The View From The Wing – Photo Post

Many of us try to capture takeoffs and landings as we travel. I often find the plane wing is in the middle of my shot, but there are still some amazing images around. Here are some, courtesy of some great people on Flickr.

It’s always interesting to see the layout of an airport as you come in to land. It’s perhaps the only time you can appreciate how huge it is.

I’ve driven through the Alps a few times, but haven’t flown over them, so I enjoyed this bird’s eye view.

I love the curve of the bay as you come in to land. This is one of my must visit destinations.

One of my earliest memories of flying is seeing fluffy white clouds on a Caribbean trip. This photo brings that back.

This is a view of road systems we don’t often see. It looks much more fun from up here than it usually is down there.

Have you got any great pictures taken from the wing? I’d love to see them, so drop a link in the comments.
