According to MapQuest, national parks are a big winner when it comes to summer travel. Most people search for directions to the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone and Yosemite and there were 279 billion visits to parks in 2011.

Did you know that there are more people buying iPhones each day than babies being born? And that more people will be using social media while on vacation than lying in the sun? Cars are the most popular method of travel (which is what keeps our off airport parking facilities busy. August is the most popular month to travel, with beach vacations being the most popular. Florida and North Carolina beaches are among the nation’s top summer destinations.
